Light-based laser acne treatments with Laser Genesis can be highly effective because of their twofold ability: The heat generated by the laser device destroys the bacteria that lead to inflammation. It also hinders sebaceous gland activity, which reduces oil production and helps to minimize pore clogging. Laser Genesis is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory, helping to reduce bacteria in the skin, as well as reduce post-inflammatory pigmentation, making the skin appear less “angry.” Other energy-based treatment options include IPL (intense pulsed light) for generating skin-clearing heat and RF microneedling for triggering increased collagen production and other skin-healing benefits.
